"I was looking to try to compare homeowner's insurance rates and auto insurance (bundled) with my present provider. State Farm seemed to be able to save me quite a bit, but when it came down to sealing the deal, the agent I was working with sent me an email that said, "seems like the only way to make your home eligible is that it would need to be torn down and re-built. This is required of your home due to the location and age of the home, and this certification helps the home to withstand heavier weather damage. " My home is located in Virginia Beach, and I have kept up on the upkeep of it. It was just appraised at $556,000. Needless to say I was not pleased with State Farm's response. Big waste of my time today. I would not recommend them based on my experience with them."
